Springtime in Hull

Just so you guys don't steal all the glory here in blog-dom, Irene and I have our own shots of spring in Hull and the flowers in our great garden. Do you think Dan & Lin would be jealous? The best part is that prior owners put most of this stuff in! What a bargain. Oh, Irene personally planted the tulips last fall. So cute.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW

Yes, there are linens in your room.

But, there may be a wait for the shower.

Here's us on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. A far cry from the cool northeast in March. Irene's favorite beach - and mine now too - is Sapphire, from which you can see St. John. Here we are relaxing at Sapphire. You also get to see the view from our room of Charlotte Amalia. And also the Synagogue on St. Thomas, which is the second oldest synagogue in continuous use in the Western hemisphere. Wow! Happy Passover!

I hope you enjoyed our little travel log. We sure did.

Winter in Hull

Here's a photo of our home in Hull after the last big snow storm. Theresa had lots of fun shoveling.

Glamorous Sea-Side Resort Contest

In a phone conversation with my friend Gillian, in which I talked about the odd-ball next-door neighbors Irene has in Hull (bicycle man and bamboo house - more on that later), Gillian suggested that we run a "Glamorous Sea-side Resort" contest between Hull and Monhegan Island. We could post photos, tell stories, and compare the various funkinesses of our respective communities.

When I shared the idea with Irene she bemoaned the fact that Monhegan would win hands down. That was until I told her that not all houses had running water and electricity. Anyway, I think it would be a fun way to share our respective "get away" places. I imagine that Chris and George will want to get in on the act too, and I know they will be creative. So lets see where it goes.

First I need to find a digital camera.

Trip Report: Pizza at #42

Theresa and Irene hosted a pizza party last night. Wine, beer pizza and yuks abounded and there was nary a threat of boring cable TV ruining the conversations. Whew.

In other news, I took both Theresa and Irene for a bike ride yesterday. At the same time...

Not one of our favorite days.

Here are Sue and Tobey putting on a brave face even though they know that we are going to steal their nice, big TV 10 minutes after they leave.

"Did we forget anything?"
"Not that I can remember."

Sniff...

There goes the neighborhood.

Correcting a serious error

Theresa was right. This blog needed cats. This was taken about 5:30 in the morning as they waited for Chris to get back from the gym. Mooshu is the one on top of the cabinet.

I barely was able to shout "Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!" in time. Otherwise her death ray would've finished me.

By the way, you can click on any photo to enlarge it. Then use your browser "back" button to return.

Flash Gordon and Number Seven dreaming about food.

Lurking but not really

Hi there,

Theresa sent me the information about your blog so look out, I'm gona be online too.

Anyway, here's a cute picture of the two of us at basketball game this winter.

See you on the web or in Pittsfield.

Irene

The obligatory test post

Right. How original. Because I don't have anything interesting to write, here is a picture of a bunny with a pancake on his head. Her head. Its head.
